01 Who We Are

Namma Fontsu is a curated online marketplace for Indian regional typefaces, operated by Prava Studios OPC. We connect font buyers with independent Indian type designers across scripts including Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and more.

02 What Data We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate the platform and communicate with you.

Waitlist visitors:

• Full name
• Email address
• Your self-identified role (buyer or type designer)
• Date and time of registration

Type designers (additional):

• Mobile number (required for payout processing)
• Font files you upload (TTF, OTF, WOFF2)
• Font metadata: name, category, supported scripts
• PAN card details (collected only when annual payouts exceed ₹30,000 for TDS compliance under Section 194J)
• Bank account details (collected only at payout stage)

03 How We Use Your Data

• To send you a launch notification email when Namma Fontsu goes live
• To send type designers a secure link to upload and showcase their fonts
• To process font sales and pay designer revenues
• To comply with Indian tax law (TDS deduction above ₹30,000 annual payout)
• To review and approve font submissions before they appear on the marketplace
• To communicate platform updates, policy changes, and launch news

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose not listed above.

04 Data Storage & Security

All data is stored on servers hosted by Hostinger (hostinger.com) in their data centres. Font files are stored in a protected directory on our server. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

Access to the admin panel and database is password-protected. We do not store payment card details — all payment processing will be handled by Razorpay or Cashfree, both PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways.

05 Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• With payment processors (Razorpay/Cashfree) to process transactions — governed by their own privacy policies
• With government authorities if required by Indian law (e.g. TDS reporting to the Income Tax Department)
• With our hosting provider (Hostinger) as part of server infrastructure — they do not access your data independently

06 Your Rights (DPDP Act 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the following rights:

• Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements
• Right to Withdraw Consent: Unsubscribe from communications at any time
• Right to Grievance Redressal: Raise a complaint with our Data Protection Officer

07 Cookies

The Namma Fontsu coming soon page does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts. When the full platform launches, we may use minimal first-party session cookies for login functionality only. We will update this policy accordingly and notify registered users before doing so.

08 Data Retention

• Waitlist data is retained until the platform launches or until you request deletion
• Designer account and font data is retained for the lifetime of the account
• Financial and tax records (PAN, payout history) are retained for 7 years as required by Indian accounting law
• If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required

09 Children's Privacy

Namma Fontsu is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us immediately at support@nammafontsu.in and we will delete the data promptly.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves. When we make significant changes, we will notify all registered users by email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
